Thanks for that excellent article, John... I don't normally read the street.com. I detect the same pro-cable slant that I have been reading about for 6 mos now but my own experience is that adsl (which is what we have out here) is faster. Technologically speaking is there a scenario that would cause adsl performance to degrade? Because the adsl users here are some of the first, and the first @home people were pretty happy too.

Those complaints about G.lite seem warranted but providing a service call for anybody that wants faster internet service is a huge problem too. We had to wait weeks to get @home, person to person service calls for everybody in the US is just not feasible for new technologies.

We had ISDN upstairs for some time and what a stupid overpriced service that was, however in comparing the customer service scenario of any of the bells to TCI cable, there is no comparison I will avoid TCI at any cost. Well, actually they kind of do that for me by refusing to answer their customer service lines.. :-/
