I agree -- you ARE the "old Slider." Well do I remember the endless "disputes" with Lucretius Taurus, PapayaKing, et al. And the interminable screeds... People here just needed a Drill Sargaent and NOT a Cheerleader.... A couple of comments. 1) Learn to spell the word "sargeant". 2) People here do not need either a Drill Sargeant OR a Cheerleader. They need intelligent, informed posts from knowledgeable AND courteous people. 3) Your approach to others encourages them to follow your deplorable example, with the result that half the posts here are impossible to read. It USED to be a pleasure both to lurk here, and to post here. No more. 4) All the mutual vituperation here drives away others who have no taste for this sort of thing. I agree with DisgustedDog.
