Okay, I slightly misspoke. "Signed, sealed, and delivered" was figurative for "they had an agreement but before they sent it off to legal they got a better offer." Didn't realize I would be taken quite so literally...

As far as the "ace" goes, again, figurative with respect to trumping something. Ace is the highest trump, ya know? Meaning the new offer knocked their socks off. (Not literally, that's just a figurative way of saying it surprised them. <g>) So by "ace" I meant a better valuation and overall package.

As far as feeling bad for the short sellers, this was not said to me in any offical capacity, but more in an off-hand, social sense. If you choose to be skeptical of my credibility, feel free. Just adding my FWIW to the collective.

As for the tape being a good discounting mechanism, I was surprised to hear you say that. I would be happy to cite many, many, examples where the tape was either oblivious or dead wrong. In fact, I think the tape lies like a teenager who just wrecked your car. (Figurative again.)

All due respect to you and your technical knowledge. I just think that we will be surprised when the answer is revealed, and I believe I have a good basis to think that.
