Elan is the only thing I've been buying lately that would fit the AIM methodology. The rest are flat out growth stocks that have been beaten up and are Buy and Holds.

I mentioned the tax sheltered and taxable account treatment of AIM stocks simply because that is the way I structure some of my holdings. The "core" holding is in the taxable account and the "trading position" is in the tax sheltered account. Psychologically it is easier for me to sell if I don't have to pay the taxes on the trading position. I'm sure I'm the only one with that problem. <grin>

I'm pretty sure the weiners in the government didn't expect people to trade their IRA's, SEP's and 401k's, but they sure structured the tax laws so that is exactly what you would do to be tax efficient. Bass ackwards as usual.
