From the WSJ:

Priceline said it sold 186,000 leisure airline tickets, a 170% increase over the 69,000 sold in the fourth quarter, and added about 531,000 new customers. The company said it spent $17.1 million on marketing and advertising in the quarter.

Chimnoy, since PCLN is worth more than UAL and Delta combined, I wonder how the two airlines compare in terms of ticket sales? Wouldn't surprised me if UAL and Delta sell 186,000 tickets in just an hour.

Regards,

Tom
