<<The reason is got out is Lutz. I worked for Nortel in the early
90s when Lutz was Paul Stern's right-hand man and although I was only
a peon at the time and a relative novice at the stock market it was fairly obvious that the 'dynamic duo' was driving the company to the ground.

When it was all over, the boys got booted and Jean Monty had to come in, take a $1B write down and restore customer relationships with key US RBOCs. All because of work Stern (and Lutz) had done for a mere 2 years, managing the stock price to fill their pockets by pulling in revenue from upcoming quarters until there was nothing else to pull
in.

This guy Lutz is bad news. Get out while you still can.>>

Francois, I have several questions for you.
1) Did Alan Lutz have any part in moving you out of Nortel, you seem to have quite a axe to grind.
2) I was a Nortel shareholder at that time and understand the poor management that went on. But for you to say that Dr. Paul Stern had Alan as his right hand man and that he was a large part of the cause for the 1 Billion write down is so far out on the limb that perhaps their is not limb under you when you make this statement.

Jean Monty is one great guy and yes he had all kinds of crap to clean up after the Stern era but...come on.
Yes, Nortel had to restore relationships with RBOC's because their products (coding) was so out of date that it took a major overhaul to bring them up to snuff.
Newbridge (including Terry and Alan) have a very good relationship with the RBOC's and it is a growing one. Check out the CC replay if you wish to hear Alans comments.

I hate the fact that the Q ended the way it did but this will not cloud my judgement from taking this opportunity to buy more shares in the company that is growing faster than anyone else in the world in ATM at discount prices.

Regards
Glenn
