Well, i finally broke down and bought myself a V3-3000 yesterday. I decided I couldn't wait for the 3500 and canceled my preorder.

Damn impulse buying (at FULL RETAIL PRICE!). Damn Fry's for putting the display right next to the exit. Damn all those people who were grabbing all those boxes while I stood there contemplating (think herd mentality here). You know what, as long as I'm playing the blame game, I think I should blame all those games out there for making me buy this V3 (ESPECIALLY that upcoming q3atest). Yeah, that's right, the games. The violence and the gore and all that fast paced action are making run of the mill americans do things that they normally wouldn't do. Yeah, I like that excuse. okay, i feel better now =), (shelling out $196 for the card kinda hurt)

after playing unreal at 1280x960 until dawn this morning, I don't think I can go back to 8x6, EVER. In fact, I'm waiting for the P-III 600's to come out so I can start playing at 16x12. The games makes the card makes the computer makes the games. Hmmm... there goes that new year's resolution about trying to be more fiscally responsible this year... but hey, it's not my fault, it's the games' =)

oh yeah, does anybody know for sure if 3dfx will be announcing their "new" stuff at E3? I'm trying to decide whether or not it's worth it to shell out the 100 bucks to attend (damn those games), it's only like 20 minutes from where I live.
