A post from Yahoo that really...

...makes sense to me. (There's a surprise.)

For those concerned, just talked to broker,,,he mentioned that large orders coming back into WCOM,,,his house is now recommending to all clients to buy WCOM now that the dust has cleared and the uncertainty of a purchase is left behind.
Lesson to be learned:
1. Bernie sends out feelers to guage market reactions to a deal. I always treat these drops as buying opportunities.
2. Management can be trusted,,,obviously,,,they own more shares than we will ever see.
3. Buy on dips,,,and don't listen to dips.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - MCI WorldCom Inc. has ended discussions to acquire wireless phone company Nextel Communications Inc. as the two companies were unable to agree on the terms of a deal, sources familiar with the situation said Wednesday.

MCI WorldCom, the No. 2 U.S. long-distance company, had been in talks for several weeks to acquire Nextel, sources said. The companies met last weekend, but were unable to agree on a price and have since ended discussions on a possible deal, sources said.
