I wonder what kept COMPAQ up this morning, when all around was sinking? Maybe the first stirrings of life from Alta Vista (Shopping.com ready to go etc etc )

rudedog, I heard on Bloomberg this afternoon that CPQ was about to name an new CEO sometime Thurday a.m. The only thing I was able to catch on the name was Elwood something! Hey El,is that you???? Hey they must have this "E" fetish thing!!

This sure confirms the notion that CPQ will have nothing much to say
this weekend at their PGA Golf Tour stop in New Orleans. They'll
probably request the usual interview not take place on Sunday. I
will be watching to see if they might have some sort of surprise.
