While AT&T will be pouring its $$$ into cables (it could be a black hole) in next three years, WCOM may have its best chance to rapidly expand its international business. AT&T already got BT and NTT as big partners in Europe and Japan. But those kinds of relationship will never work well. I think that acquiring oversea players is the right way to go. To me, VOD will be the best buy for WCOM although it will be very very expensive based on the current market caps of VOD.

Maybe QCOM or a joint deal with QWST. Wishful thinking on the latter.
