Noted, but deserved. DELL meets the Street's expectations and drops from 55 to 36. CPQ misses wildly, drops from 50 to 25. I don't know, this picture still does not look quite right. Inequity I think you might call it. I hate to say this, but I think we are headed back to 36.

John- Niles, although he has made some good calls in the past (Dell, surely, helped him out with his January call)..has gone on record in saying PC stocks are dead until the fall..and maybe later....that most PCs will be "given away" soon (cell phone analogy)....

IMO, if he did say that Intel is going to have trouble meeting .53 this quarter, he is way early in his prediction (and therefore subject to big-time error)...Everything I've read so far states to good PC sales momentum in April....It is hard to imagine sales getting off to a worse start then this past January.......It is simply too early too call May/June at this point...(look how quickly sales turned from February to March for the overall market)..

He got last quarter's overall sales wrong...he thought unit sales would be more than seasonally down...

IMO, he is trying to cover his rear on his Intel "SELL" call a few weeks back....he trying to be Kurlak....I probably would be concerned if this call was coming in June...but, IMO, he is way early...

His prediction of "free PCs dominating" in the not-too-distant future is a strange one, as well. Although I am assuming he means the consumer market, he never specifically states it...leading the listener to believe he means all PCs.....IMO, he is becoming a bit too enamoured with his success lately...
