I agree. You have to be patient here. Another run up to 60 with appropriate tick volume characteristics or even a paucity of fundamental buying volume will expose the structure weaknesses. You have to let the price structure evolve until the cat is out of the bag. That requires an up test of a downtrend. A failure on the 60 run on low volume but high volatility would create a head structure, and cut through the major up trend. Then you study the ensuing rally for entry point. The down side is purely a technical phenomenon. As it evolves you monitor how the stock reacts to "good news". Depending on how that sets up gives you the conviction to sell short.
