ATT will only allow access to other ISP's if they pay for it. He's probably asking more than Steve Case is willing to pay.

As soon as I could adopt another long distance company after the breakup I jumped on it and I never looked back. Give me another cable provider besides TCI and I will pay more. I have seen what these corporations provide. Higher prices and poor service. T will destroy this wonderful commumication expansion. Let us provide the funds to fight the old media. Long AOL!

to Smart Investor, - It's not necessarily a monopoly.

I have tried antitrust cases and rest assured I am not that concerned about T being considered a monopoly. Your hyperbole that T is a monopoly is wishful thinking. It's a dream - a wished fulfillment. Your ignorance shows. So can it. You have no concept or idea what the Justice Department may consider monopolistic or not. You're right - FCC will not approve a monopoly. However, you're conclusion that T is a monopoly is misguided at best. Read the case law, look at historical conclusions of law and then tell me that T is a monopoly. Bottom line is you're dead wrong!!
