John, I prefer the ODS numbers because they are talking about rigs under contract. BHI is talking about rigs working (since the original purpose of the rig count was to aid folks selling services to rigs, and you don't sell services to rigs that aren't working).

So in a micro sense, if you are interested in the drillers, you look at ODS. If you are interested in the suppliers to the rigs, you look at BHI. But in reality there is very little difference.

It doesn't matter which count you look at, it's the trend that counts. The week to week changes don't really matter.

FWIW -- RIG down 5% and PGO down 6% in today's Oslo trading.
