You say "I," not "we." As I pointed out to Steven, that's the question. How much time did you, your husband, and all your kids spend doing things together? I spend a lot of time with our kids. My wife spends a lot of time with our kids. BUT the five of us seldom do anything together, all five of us. Perhaps I'm off with my son at football while my wife is taking the girls to piano, or I'm mowing the lawn while she does something with the kids, or I take them to the beach while she visits her mother, or . . .

But the whole nuclear family together? Not very often. Unfortunately. I hadn't focussed on that until it got raised on this thread and I had to start thinking about it.
