paul...thanks...common sense is easy to grasp....i firmly believe that recent market movements are not based on the machiavellian moves of "big money"....but more by the "incompetence" of those directing "big money"....too many with too little experience controlling too much.......the result is always chaos

i believe that what we see now is typical of what to expect in the market for many years to come...no long term downturns, unless an extraordinary world event occurs...just volatility...me thinks the "masters" have lost control of the "machines"...sort of a "rossums universal robot" thing.....and when trading hours expand, and instinet is available to more as a trade for profit venue, it's only gonna get worse....

as the welfare family goes through generations of unemployment, they forget the concept of working....same as the "big money" removes itself from reality of business and people, then all is no more than a video game......and the more similar data the "machines" gorge themselves on, the same orchestrated results of incompetency will occur...as in the move to "value stocks" as international paper with a +80 pe...."machine" said buy...and they all buy..."master" then must rationalize the illogic of his "machine"'s action...and the result is a "silly" answer.......take advantage of volatility...it's the only way us "little guys" stand a chance...cheers, the mad hatter!
