You are right. AMAT is not as overvalued as AMZN but that does not make it a bargain either.
Since all of you like to play the history in AMAT stock movement then why don't you plot a chart of AMATs price to sales and then even you will agree that AMAT historically is severely overpriced.

Don't give me the crap about the B:B comparison since last year sales were depressed like never before which makes todays B:B numbers look great.
