"Paying customers"???

It would be really interesting to know how many buying customers CDNW (and AMZN) had per month or quarter as opposed to just registered customers.

I'm one of those 2 million "paying" (whatever that means) customers at CD Now; but I've bought many more CDs at Amazon than at CD Now. So go figure. I'm sure the reverse is true for some people.

The only thing that matters is rapidly growing revenues quarter to quarter; and some indication that expenses are being monitored if not outright controlled.

I think the most interesting development in this space will be Universal and Virgin's entry and interest in changing the rules of the industry. Time Warner?? A weak "maybe", on all counts (IMHO).

Regards

Look for nice recovery in CDNW now. Unfairly lumped in with Amazon. CDNW is not the one that's overvalued. Only 250 mill market cap. And still a very juicy takeover target. Could happen anytime.
