Rich, why not big pushcarts in the Mall?

call it iMac Hut

You have an imac in each color, several printers, scanners, and digital cameras. Powerbooks. Popular and cool software- maybe 30 titles total. The imacs could have internet links to on-line catalog of less popular software. The internet site could also have demos, FAQs and links to a central batch of humans who could answer questions.

The big hardware is not in stock. The high school kid in the booth orders the hardware over an internet connection, and hardware is delivered next-day to the customer's house. More convenient than lugging the boxes out to the car.

Small hardware is restocked daily by inventory reporting over the internet.

Why pay for bricks and mortar?
