Ground Zero: **OT** I object, been there done that....so I have a right to object. I have NO ill will toward the soldiers, just the worthless leadership, this country has chosen, using this situation to garner political gain.

When medals of honor or given away so cheaply, it diminishes the accomplishments of others rightfully given the medals, period.

Let honor be bestowed on those solders that "actually" display bravery. As you know, many soldiers, airmen and sailors have put themselves at much greater risk by actually fighting and have never received any recognition.

Let all that “deserve” the medals receive them. And, “it” was a shame what the VietVets went through as they returned, but much has been done since to try and recognize their contributions. The true forgotten soles have been the Korean Vets.

Regards,
LG

***OT***
Ground Zero,
Let me make this as clear as possible. I support our troops, but not in crazy foreign missions which only get them stoned and beat up! I am glad that we have a strong military to defend these UNITED STATES, not some liberal establishment elitist version of the "New World Order", where "we" bomb civilian trains, government buildings, television stations, and foreign embassies out of an insane power trip "we" are on combined with extreme arrogance. This type of terrorist activity I will not support in a million years, because two wrongs do not make a right, and never will!
About seeing combat, I tried to join the marines in the 1960's, but they told me I was a little bit too young and to come back the following year. By that time, I had gotten married, and my right foot and back were in such bad shape that I would never have seen combat. I did become an armed guard and carried a gun, with some frightening situations, but never had to shoot anyone.
These "Three Amigos" are still not real heroes in my view (as in WWII), and many people feel the same way, including patriot Rush Limbaugh, so I have very good company. Yogi
