I agree that they wouldn't have to exercise the option prior to registering, or they could do it at the same time. One thing is certain though, and that is that none of us have seen the financials for any of the three, AENTV, TVoW, or Reiter. Ampex has been very careful to see to that. They have apparently exercised the option on Reiter by now, so they believe that Reiter's financials are ready for us to see, and they will appear on the June financials. This makes me believe that they see the Reiter business as more mature, and more ready for IPO.

Another reason why Reiter could be the IPO is that it is ancillary to their stated objective, a global internet TV network, unlike AENTV and TVoW which are core holdings. That makes me believe that they will be more willing to part with a part of Reiter.

On the other hand, a lot of IPOs these days involve only 10% of a company, and they could give up that much. I do agree that TVoW would be the hottest IPO, though. I'm just not sure they think it's ready, or are willing to give up a piece yet.

I would like to think that Ampex would be partnering with a major player that already has Broadband infrastructure in place or "nearly" in place. It's my understanding that studio left and studio right are being built as we speak. Assuming the physical plants (buildings) already exist, and just need some remodeling, it does not take long to put the hardware in place and wire it up (few weeks). It would only seem logical that once the studios are in place they would be ready to start steaming on as much broadband backbone as can currently be done in order to get out front pronto. If this sounds plausible, then who would/could that partner be ??.....Would not one of the Telcos' be reasonable. Just a thought in trying to assemble this picture...comments

ps My wife just came and told me that Hugh Downs just said on TV that he was going to be involved in the "New Media" at the University of Arizona....??
