< I've been writing and publishing for many years, and I really don't have too
much regard for your opinion of journalism.>

Scripting want ads doesn't count. however, if you are truly working for a news service, i rest my case. You have made it for me.

By the way, what is a fact?

When it comes to social issues and global politics, journalists in this country aren't interested in the facts... instead they're generally interested in pushing a social agenda.

Any thinking person can watch CNN and see what garbage it is.

Gloria Allred was an ongoing guest speaker on CNN over the years. She is a "feminist." During Monicagate, Allred called for Clinton's resignation (she was about the only "feminist" who did) and then she was blacklisted by CNN.

Is she back on yet, now that the attention is elsewhere? If I were her I'd tell them to f*ck off if they asked me back after that.

Face it, CNN is a propaganda organ. Sometimes they throw in some facts just to look legitimate. You seem disappointed that so few of us here will give CNN any credibility. Maybe if CNN were credible...

They should call it the "Jane Fonda World View Network" or JFWVN.

FWIW
Andy

Robert, res- <<<I've been writing and publishing for many years, and I really don't have too much regard for your opinion of journalism.>>>

So this explains your blind love for the Presidents policies of bombing innocent people and Embassies.

Another journalist which voted 90+ percent for Clinton. Yeah, real balance at CNN Robert. The Clinton News Network is a laughingstock of journalistic integrity. Just a messenger?? That's a great joke Robert!

I wonder how many millions Hanoi Jane and her hubby are pocketing for promoting the killing of children and the destruction of Yugoslovia.

Ironic indeed. Or perhaps a better word is complete hypocrites!

Michael

They talking about you again Robert?

Message 8619463

The results, released Tuesday, indicate that journalists think that reporting has become
sloppier, that too many reporters use their articles and newscasts to speculate or state
opinion
and that financial pressures hamper the quality of news coverage.

"A solid majority of journalists now are extremely critical of their profession on
questions of news blurring with entertainment and commentary blurring with reporting,''

says Tom Rosenstiel, director of the Project for Excellence in Journalism, a media think
tank in Washington.

.....CNN is just the messenger.

The only problem is that you can't discern who's message they're carrying, or even whether they are delivering that message intact. Haven't you ever wondered whether there is a conflict of interest implicit in the marriage between CNN reporter Christiane Amanpour and her husband, State Dept spokesman James Rubin.

And, they do a great job of informing the world as to what is going on.

So long as it boosts ratings or passes the editorial gatekeepers as "newsworthy", which apparently Kosovo wasn't for many years.

They, and the other independent news services are the eyes and ears of the world.

Actually, I trust my own eyes and ears far more, as well as my own ability to interpret the relevance of any particular news or the credibility of its news source.
