<<<regarding the debate of cable vs.dsl>>>>> i believe their are pros and cons two both scenarios ,,imo aol has somthing that is very valuable in a new technology,,that is brand name and customers,,18 million and counting +internationally,, cable big advantage is their speed,,the bottlneck problems will be worked out with att backing as they build better infastructure,,att's plan is great ,,mbile phone, home phone, long distance, high speed net acces all in one package,,,imo anyone who tries athm will quit their aol because it is truly amazing,,, i think alot of people are missing the att strategy here,,imo it seems with the recent msft deal with set top boxes that att is going to offer net acces through the television,,and msft is going to develop technology to achieve this, dsl will have a great market combined with the aol brand name provided they can keep the price reasonable,,the dsl advantage is that it uses already existing phone lines,,making it easier,,, imo there is going to be room for both and that there are atleast 150 million more subscibers out there and they will just simply have a choice and will go with the most convienent one to their needs,,, i just think as an investment right noe considering aol market cap and athm of 17 billion ,,their is much more upside in athm,,,i believe a conservative estimate is 160 by jan post split,,giving athm a market cap of 34 billion, about 16 billion less than pcln ,and 20 billion less than ebay,,and about10 billion less than amzn ,etc, etc |
