Agreed totally.

DLJ has had the worst service of any company I have ever dealt with -- bar none. If Dr.Seuss is going to DLJ for service, he will be very disappointed, very soon. They do absolutely nothing to correct problems. They should just come out and say, "If you don't like the way we screw you over, get the f*ck out" because then at least it would kill any hopes of a positive settlement and life would go on.

They do have a good inventory for shorting.

This is the key. Schwab has great service, but I got sick of being told "not shortable". When the stock wasn't shortable, it wasn't available.

I've been using DLJ for about a month now and have been able to short all kind of stuff that wasn't shortable at Schwab.

My tune may change when I encounter a problem, but so far, its ok.

From what I hear, Yamner is the best combo:

Great service & great short availability. When I grow up and can run with the big boys, maybe I'll get an account at Yamner too. :-)
