Nets pro and con.. Traders, we can guess till the cows come home. But let me clear up a few things. We are all being manipulated. If you recall the catalyst that set off the net retreat was the article in Barron's saying that AMZN and AOL were the most overvalued etc...

Nothing had changed in the fundamentals of the nets. Now we have an article in Business Week May 17 edition. At least this article shows the Cons of getting into the Nets now on the left side and the Pros on the right side. One thing I can say is that at least they are giving equal opportunity to both sides. So before we try to figure out if we've bottomed or not let's name the real culprits and they are the analyst's and those that write these articles knowing easily the chain reaction it would set off among traders/investors. That is what happened. There is no sane reason that would explain the tanking of TBFC and SONE after such an upbeat earnings report, were it not for the article in Barron's. Had the article appeared a week earlier, forget about the latest gains in INSP,ATHM,NITE and RNWK that we enjoyed.

It is not when to get in, but how much longer are we are going to be led around with a leash by analysts and columnists who unfortunately wield a giant influence on market sentiment. I don't know what we can do to neutralize their influence, if anything.

Susan G Sorry about the drop in "G" but the good news is that on the dip I hopped on board and then sold my May 165 Covered Calls for a tidy sum, CMGI with it's renewed a/c practice scares me as I am holding some May in the money calls and was hoping for a decent profit, of course I also own the stock and sold my MAY 270 calls for 11 1/4 on Fri before it tanked.
best wishes and Happy Mommy's Day!
