I strongly recommend you consider some ERP software companies for either AIM or Buy and Hold. These companies are going to produce outsized gains post-y2k issues which have depressed their prices. Client server technology will be coming to europe post-y2k and that should offer significant boost to new sales and upgrades of SAP software. I think I've missed the first move upwards in SAP, but better late than never. Other players would be: ITWO, PSFT, JDEC and SEBL in this area. If you did just a bit deeper you find GCTI which is the most interesting niche company I have found in quite some time. They integrate ERP functions with call centers and other front office functions.

I think you will find these much more profitable (AIM'ed or otherwise) than Latin America funds.
