Thanks Rosemary, She's staying at the Shangri-La, so that part of it doesn't concern me<g>, but I do worry about her comings and goings. I'm actually more worried about her stay in Sri Lanka. When she was there in Dec. half of the hotel she stayed in was demolished by a previous bombing. I heard our ambassador to China on the tube this am, and it appears that he is currently unable to leave the embassy due to the protestors throwing rocks, windows shattered, cars torn up.....What worries me is the Chinese officials are letting this "play itself out" and you always worry about kind of impact these public displays of anti-American sentiment can whip up. I just read on the Kosovo thread that a CNN reporter was "hit" and had to have protection from the mob. Did you see the pictures of the American Embassy? If that's half-hearted I'd hate to see what would happen if they really got themselve in a snit<vbg> bp
