Yes, I made this suggestion about a year ago to Dan Schulman, then President of AT&T Interent Division. He promised that he would bring it up with Dan Somers, AT&T's CFO.

I believe that board of directors of AT&T can not just stop the dividend. What they are doing instead is that as T goes up and splits, the dividend will not be increased. Therefore dividend rate will actually go down. But the cash that AT&T is wasting on dividend will not change.

Just my $.02.
