MArk, If you can't agree on anymore than Jesus is your saviour, than quite clearly the Bible is not meant to convey anymore than that in a clear fashion. Then by your reasoning, Mark, because you do not believe that Jesus the Christ is the risen savior, it is not so clear for anyone huh? Our ways are not God's ways. , we are weak and lustful and full of pride on what we "want" the word to say rather than what it says. God has allowed many things to happen so you choose to say He is mean spirited and does not know what He is doing, and is a poor writer. Why does that not seem as if you are "really" wanting to know, but merely trying to satistfy your own position. You say we always go back to this statement: "without faith it is impossible to please Him.", and say it is no answer, but it is the answer and will always be. Can I explain every word in the bible? No. Can I tell you exactly why God did a thing or allowed a thing to happen? No. Can I tell you all of lifes little secrets now? no. My faith does not require me to. My faith does require me to tell you this: John 1: 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 3: 12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? 13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. This John 3 passage...who was Jesus speaking to? 3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: Even old Nicodemus recognized more than most. 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Ever wonder why he came to Jesus by night? dan
