WLD, you mentioned that there already are "alternate long-distance carriers" running voice traffic over the Internet. How many of these companies offer unlimited long-distance calling for a flat rate? By the way, so what if the MetroPlus system uses an access number with a call-back feature? Don't all alternate carriers use access numbers? Many people would be quite willing to spend an extra 15 seconds to place a long-distance call if they could save hundreds of dollars a month in charges.
