I hope that you are joking or that you are just too cynical. Having once been an analyst; I really think that they should be forced to make binary decisions (no deliberate pun intended here for the tech arena). A stock should either be a buy or it is a sell. If you would not buy it you should sell it. Why "Hold" a stock? Because you are too lazy to sell a mediocre performer. That is simply stupid. Any mediocre performer in your expectations should be sold.
