One of the courtesy of these boards is to attack ideas, not person. You would be surprised to know how much I know about Taiwan. You see my other half came from Taiwan. There are people in Taiwan who want independence and there are people there want reunite. I do not pretend to know which are majority. The fact that the second party (MingJing) of Taiwan just recently backed away from Taiwan-Independence stance ahead of presidential election demonstrated that there are still considerable support for reunite. Governing Nationalist party do not want to talk about TI because those people mostly have mainland origin and with TI would lose a huge edge to the MingJing party. Actually I do not mind if they go independent and hope Chinese government stay away, I think that would improve mainland-taiwan relationship immediately. Could cut down my time to apply for a permit to travel there by a great deal. :)

I am not making excuses for Chinese government. My point was that anti-US sentiment has been pretty high and not all due to Chinese propaganda and due to US policy toward China. Read my post. This bombing is just a trigger. Your other WTO post is irrelevant because
it is Sino-US relation. Yes US CAN block Chinese entrance in WTO. Just do not be suprised with the sudden anti-US burst.

To help you understand my thoughts on this issue. It is also my position that US bombing of FRY is premature and intentionally started. Because RAMBOUILLET agreement does not look like something that anyone could accept. Once that is established, the motive of this war is immediately in question.
