That IS a lot! Are you on dialup? Does it (browsemaster) speed up your surfing a lot?

You need the modem to fax, not the fax to use the modem (IMO) (unless you like to keep it on standby for in-coming faxes).

To be honest, I really can't say what kind of troubles I have when my memory gets low, because it's been so long since I let it get down that low. I'll have to let it go and see what happens. I try to keep it in the 4-20 range. I know that the troubles I had were when it got into the low kilobyte range.

If you use the bitmap trick, remember -- start by opening and closing one bitmap, and work your way incrementally up. Also, beyond a certain point it is counterproductive and you will have to re-boot. I also think that you are better off not letting it get so low that it affects performance -- once it gets that low you may have to re-boot.
