AOL is trading at 135 1/2 -- according to CNBC. Unfortunately, I followed the advise of the naysayers on this thread and sold yesterday at 123. Then I sold my home and shorted everything I had cause I thought AOL was going to 40 like they said.

NOT!

They'll have to pry my AOL shares out of my dead hands.

CNBC says AOL trading 135 on Instinet. Is is going to be another +10 day for AOL. This stock surely knows how to come back.

Sorry if others feel that this is cheerleading. It needs a little celebration. Besides the AOL dance, we can keep talking about it on this thread.

It's interesting how everyone sort of forgot those old announcements about AOL preparing for AOL-TV. I guess AOL is not quite dead yet, eh? It will be interesting to see how they piece together a strategy to expand beyond narrowboand telephone. Looks like it will come in many parts. DSS, screen phones, DSL. Between all of those they will have a formidable challenge to the cable industry, who will be mired in red ink for several years trying to upgrade the fiber infrastructure. By 2002 AOL might have 50M subs and revenues of $20B a year while cable might be much more than that in the red. Maybe that is why Case did not want to strike a deal just yet. He can get a better deal later.
