Ron:
It was amazing how superstitious belief outweigh observable reality, namely a bunch of foreign troops aiming at mortal bodies and not the air.

About 100 years ago, westerners sold opium to Chinese. And obnoxious Christian preachers with their racist attitude forced Chinese to accept their beliefs. I can not blame boxers' actions. Though stupid, they are truly patriots.

Chinese government used them for their benefits. Boxers killed the Christian preachers and surrounded the westerners' embassies. They could have killed all the people inside with a little help from Chinese government. Chinese government was not that stupid. At the end, Chinese government killed all the boxers under the pressure of the westerners.

80 years later, we had culture revolution. Again, Chinese people were used as political tools. Now we have this incident. Can we see a pattern here?
