LindyBill, use that blistering foresight of yours Tef, I have been using the ATHM service for 6 months now. If I had any "blistering foresight" I would have bought it then! Now, I am guilty of the same sin that I accuse others of. I won't buy it because it has gone up so much. I don't know what I am waiting for, probably a market crash. Of course, then, I will be to broke to buy anything!

i have both cable modem and dsl. at first cable was faster but as more folks in my neighborhood got cable modem service then the dsl was faster in real packet per second throughput. at night after dinner the cable modem seemed slowest when kids and parents were all clogging up the cable plant. now providers says system will self-heal bursty traffic in future but dedicated star dsl vs shared lan cable modem is now my choice. suggest to all to use an old pc as a nt firewall if using cable modem.
