btw, do you pack iron while working in the yard, just in case? :) Nah .... just a tiny lil Ruger 22 loaded with rat shot for the occasional snake which I keep over on the potting bench .... I don't kill the non posionous kind --- chicken snake, garter snake, rat snake, etc... just try to put the hurt on copperheads and that kind .... gggg 'dillo is a nocturnal creature as a rule and the local population of them has evidently been reduced severely in my neighborhood .... talked to the neighbor yesterday afternoon who had the city animal control folks out here trapping .... they took off three and I know of about six more who went to the happy hunting grounds via dispatch with extreme sanction .... current my battle is with wood bees .... I have decimated the hive (or what ever abode they use) to the extent of several dozen in the past week .... Now, I know you'll think I'm a trigger happy ol coot .... but they're fun to shoot with a bb gun .... in the air .... LOL but mostly I use a flyswatter, a tennis racket, and some kind of lethal spray from KMart to wet down the hole in the eaves ..... keeps em from coming back, or so I've been told ..... still LOL .... at me ... by me ...
