Neocon, I've been nearly consistent about Clinton, that I think there is a lot to get him on, and this was never it. I hated Nixon. A dozen friends died as a direct result of his policies. And I never had to serve. When he was impeached, I thought he deserved it, I was glad, but I had little vindictiveness or interest. I really didn't like Reagan, but that was never personal, and likely had Nixon carryover. Why people fully hate Clinton, the man and the President, with all their soul, is beyond me.

As to the dishonorable that you feel I expressed in my post, I honestly can't agree with you. Dishonorable doesn't quite fit. Why not, I don't understand well enough.
I suspect Clinton has developed a philosophy that is personal, internally honest, and far removed from the norm. It often looks dishonorable, and it might just devolve into expediency and selfishness, but...So, for me, as long as he isn't committing major blunders, I'm willing to give him rein. The country is doing well enough; and importantly, the country is not doing well. If he were to offer a new view to reduce the systemic problems, his bs would be worth it. I think him that different.

I was unwilling to do the same with Reagan. He seemed like more, much more, of the same. I know the difference in the two attitudes is non-intellectual. I know many felt about Reagan as I do about Billy Boy. I do not understand Reagan's appeal, but neither do I condemn those who do.
