"Why people fully hate Clinton, the man and the President, with all their soul, is beyond me."

What's beyond me is why people continue to accuse those who feel that Clinton is a dishonest and disreputable self-serving fraud who has brought dishonor and disrespect on the office of President of "hating" him. I don't "hate" anyone. I don't need to "hate" him in order to believe that he deserved impeachment and should have been (and still should be) removed from office.

PiMac, it is simple: Clinton is incredibly smarmy. I have no idea what you mean by "personally, internally honest". He has committed many major blunders, like the health care initiative, but has been inept, and therefore has done little harm (up until lately). Since Reagan essential re- organized the economy and won the Cold War, there is reason enough to like him, I think. Apart from keeping Greenspan and appointing Rubin, Clinton has done little to make a difference in domestic policy, and he is in the process of squandering the legacy of Reagan and Bush in foreign affairs. But I do agree that there are better things to impeach him for, if they can be proven...

PiMac,
There are several books currently available that will give you an insight into Clinton, his philosophy, and his behavior. In reading "Boy Clinton", you begin to realize that his behavior as president is a "way-of-life" for him. Also, you come to the conclusion that the media, instead of exposing him prior to his initial election, actually protected him.

R. Emmett Tyrrell Jr. is the editor-in-chief at the American Spectator. Boy Clinton is his full-length diatribe against the current President of the United States of America. According to Tyrrell, Clinton is "so ambitious, so inexhaustible, so political, as to be a freak even by the standards of Arkansas" (take that, Arkansas) and has run "the most corrupt and incompetent presidency in American history" (and that, Richard Nixon). Clinton is not the only target of Tyrrell's wrath. Ross Perot is another "freak," and the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard is a place where "has-been public figures pulled on their chins and sipped sherry." Depending on where you stand, you'll either find Boy Clinton a scream, or it will make you want to scream. --This text refers to the hardcover edition of this title

There are enough of their policies and their conduct in trying to advance their agenda for a much larger social welfare system to dislike that one doesn't need to delve into personality. The foreign affairs area is no great shakes either. Their conduct in personal scandals, such as Lewinsky-Jones matter, Travel Office, Whitewater, et al reflect their conduct in policy matters such as Health Care Task Force, Shutdowns of the Government, Campaign Fundraising, Chinese Spying, et al. Lie, legal stonewall, withhold documents, etc.

"As to the dishonorable that you feel I expressed in my post, I honestly can't agree with you. Dishonorable doesn't quite fit. Why not, I don't understand well enough.
I suspect Clinton has developed a philosophy that is personal, internally honest, and far removed from the norm. It often looks dishonorable, and it might just devolve into expediency and selfishness, but..."
