We would have made a lot more money shorting 3Com over the last few years. :o) Your logic is okay as far as it goes (ie that valuations must come down at some point), but Buffetology would never go so far as to recommend shorting a stock--especially one such as Cisco which executes so well. IMO, Cisco is undergoing a "soft landing" on its valuations. It'll tread water here for a while (even after earnings), but the probability of a sharp correction is balanced by an equally strong probability that Cisco will rocket off to 140 (esp. with Chambers holding the Ace in the Hole--a split). Long COMS and Long CSCO is the way to go.
