DoughHboy: I agree with you...we are both correct in our own way...just a difference in strategy. What it all boils down to is "making money" and not falling in love with any particular investment.I don't believe either you nor I are in that catagory(falling in love with a particular investment). Yes WB is a buy and hold forever type and I cannot deny him his success in this approach but he can afford to...we don't have the hugh mountains of cash that he is working with. As you know it is product to market that is the underlying driver in the network sector...Cisco (Chambers) is much better at this than 3com (Benhamou) but I would expect 3com to
close this gap when they restructure. As to the "trump card" (split) that Chambers is holding...that is a matter of timing...difficult to say when he will drop it. Yes...there are advantages to stock splits but there are also disadvantages. Regardless...it still comes down to ROI (return on investment).
