""Novell is an industry leader with the technology that works dynamically to bring
together both the voice and data environments," said Carl Wiese, general manager,
Enterprise Multimedia Solutions, Lucent. "Lucent looks forward to working together
with Novell to help deliver a rich platform of solutions that will help simplify the
management of customer networks."

With directory and voice integration, customers will notice simplified network
management and lower cost of administration. In addition, by adding voice to the mix,
Novell will help provide customers with a single point of administration for all network
user identities, devices, data and voice, connecting each user to the data and
communications tools they need. An organization's voice network contains more users
than any other database and by combining the voice network with NDS the directory
becomes more valuable. This type of integration between NDS and a voice network will
make activities such as application roll outs faster and easier since all user data is in one
place. "

Now this is really great stuff!

Novell is recommended in the May 3 issue of the Dick Davis Digest and is the featured stock of the month in Rex Takasugi's "Technical Disciplines" newsletter. Takasugi says "Novell is not commonly known as an Internet play, but the new CEO, Eric Schmidt, has turned the company around in a big way by focusing on the Internet and Java. And unlike most Internet stocks, Novell actually makes money. It's positively cheap compared to most Internet stocks. Our initial target is $29 1/2."
