Well, we're into H&Q's "Investing in Biotech":

Actually we're already over it, given that it was in London, which is ahead of us. <g>

Nice bounce back by PCYC - doing nicely on my (too) few calls.

Let's not forget Bio '99 here
in my town---May 16-20th, Seattle.
bio.org

Don't know how 'bioforest' stacks up
against, say, 'genetown', but there will
certainly be some PR for ICOS, Corixa,
Targeted Genetics, and Immunex.

The most interesting thing for me will be
to see what sort of story the SeattleTimes
chooses to do on this--Biotech Comes of Age?
A regional focus story--the bioforest thing?
The coming Biotech Century/Millennium?

Noticed a number of speakers from the UW.
Here is the big one:

The Impact of the Genomics Revolution on
Basic and Applied Biology, a View of the Future
Leroy Hood, Gates Professor and Chairman,
Department of Molecular Biotechnology,
University of Washington

Incyte, Curagen, Gene Logic all have at least
one representative at Bio '99. Oh, and a handful
from Millenium Pharma.
