Another CPQ executive to go. Kurtzman in charge of Online Sales.

"Ashford.Com, Houston -- Kenneth E. Kurtzman, a Compaq Computer Corp. vice president in charge of online sales, was named chief executive and a member of the board of this online luxury goods retailer. Mr. Kurtzman, 36 years old, will join the company effective June 1. Until then, he will continue at Compaq. Ashford.com, formerly called Newwatch Co., recently closed on a $34 million round of venture financing. It intends to expand from online sales of wristwatches to other luxury goods.

jc: AV was listed at 11 down from 9 in the list that is usually cited (can't remember its affiliation). But in its own compilation of the market AV puts itself as 4.

It has to do with the clustering of related sites, and how you count the hit. AV evidently sees itself as organically related to a number of affiliated sites.

I think some clear rationale ought to be spelled out to explain these rankings.
