"Does anyone know why ATHM has not participated in the Net rally for the past two days? It seems very strange to see ATHM not going up when AOL, YHOO are up sharply today.

Ali- I have noticed and mentioned this trend before. ATHM seems to have become an opponent or rival of AOL. Good news about AOL drives ATHM down. Good news about ATHM drives AOL down. This has been quite apparent over the last few weeks. Neither seems to be going in the same direction.

Article after article pits the two in a competitive race. One article speaks of ATHM's high speed advantages, while the next article talks about AOL's subscriber dominance in the ISP field. In many cases, the two are compared. There is a usually a writer's bias to one stock or the other. AOL's recent surge is due to deal making and an analyst's upgrade.

It has been a desire of mine to see the two kiss and make up. Put a deal together that will benefit both parties.

Yes! I know exactly why that happened. As I said before in different words, the upside is limited until the XCIT / ATHM merger is completed.
