Why is it GMH getting all the deals?

Where the hell is LOR? I'd sure like to know more about LOR's broadband plans (especially if GMH is going to lock up AOL). Isn't GMH the competition or am i missing something?

"Satellite delivery is far faster "

Faster than what, the speed of light?

I believe the correct metric is something like data rate divided by capital cost, taking into account that the space segment will depreciate at a much higher rate than most of the ground infrastructure associated with fiber, coax, or ground repeaters, plus has a certain deployment risk not evident for ground based systems; the comparison between space and ground segments is complicated by the fact that the cost of ground based systems will vary widely with locality, whereas sat-based systems will be nearly uniform, globally. Anyway, the ultimate question, how big is the market wherein satellite systems will have a distinct advantage, has not been well answered, IMHO.
