Question on Merced/Rambus - My impression from reading this thread for some time now is that as Intel MPU's get faster memory becomes more of a bottleneck. I thought that is the reason Camino is being developed for the X86 architecture. Since Merced is much faster than current X86 technology, logic would seem to indicate that it would need Rambus more than X86???? What am I missing here?? Is it that Merced will also have a 64 bit pathway to memory???

Regards,
John
