Query: How are you implementing the last drive command? I take it that it's something like LASTDRIVE=P(or something) in the config.sys. What type of file system is drive C,D, & E? As far as the registry is concerned, it's a step you want to try and avoid if at all possible. GUI tools in Windows are there to adjust the registry accordingly before having to use regedit.exe or regedt32.exe However, try playing with the drive letter assignment in the device manager (95/98 right?) for the cd-rom drive...maybe see if it can accept E instead of F: Rich
