can't win them all

3. IBM's (IBM) stock, which has been on a tear of late, could get
another boost today. IBM Corp. and Nintendo Inc. plan to announce a $1
billion agreement for Nintendo to build its next-generation video game
system using IBM's chip technology, The New York Times reported today.
Under the deal, IBM will make a custom computer chip for the new Nintendo
game machine, to be released in the fall of 2000. The Nintendo PowerPC
chip will permit the game machine to display almost lifelike

Nintendo previously. Nintendo already controls more than 30% of the US
markets video game machines and the alliance with IBM could help to
increase this market share
