THC, I think that Russia is running out of product. Yes, they have enough to make an impact on any given day of a sale, but not enough to change the course of the market. If it was convertible into dollars, Russia has been kicking it out the door. So, I think their sales go into a dropping pattern, and they have been the big barrier to $700 on platinum and $500 on palladium.

I was holding platinum complex stocks and still have one third positions in Amplats and Implats. But they have gone up much more than the metals and the commodities are my main focus right now. I rarely mention my trading on this thread because I am in and out more often than Jim Cramer on speed. <g> I don't think anyone could follow it, as by the time I posted, I could be switching directions or hedging. I have bull spreads and outright longs. I do bear spreads when they get pricey, but I do not do outright shorts, as I think the upside is the most risk.
